Great nail mail

In my last post I ended by saying I recieved a great package in the mail. And I sure did.

For a long time my biggest lemming had been Emily de Molly Cosmic Forces. I had seen it on Llarowe's front page and saved the picture without even knowing anything about the polish. I just kinda assumed it would be easy to get my hands on, but boy was I wrong.
When I came to realize just how few places actually carry the brand, I was so bummed out. I ended up wanting it so bad that I kept checking the different sites every couple of days for about 3 months. I was just about to get so desperate that I was willing to write some girls whom I haven't talked to for years - just because they live in Australia. It would be such a dickish move that I decided to give it some extra time of checking the sites waay too often.

And one day the status on one of the sites showed up positive. I was almost ecstatic, but I wouldn't let myself get too happy till I had checked it out and gotten a confirmation.
As I put it in my cart I decided to put Dark Forces in as well - I kinda love black polishes, so I thought I might as well buy that one. And I succeeded - they were both in stock and I got an order confirmation.

I had a hard time believing it had really gone through, so I was apprehensive about being too happy. It wasn't till it was actually in my mail box I could believe it. 




















And they are just as pretty as I thought they would be.

I put on Cosmic Forces right away, but the pictures did not turn out well, so that will have to wait for another time.

Winter mani

The other day it started snowing a lot, so I got inspired and made it snow on my nails. 

Here is my left hand. Since I am right handed, I made the most challenging design on this hand and made a snow man. Unfortunately it got smudged when I put on Poshe top coat. It was the first time using it. I wanted to try it out, and usually I use Seche, but some people swear on Poshe.

As you might be able to see, my thumb is chipped. It broke when I put on a backpack - so annoying!



Normally I don't take photos of both hands, but since I made a different design on the other hand, I'll show it. I tried to make a tree with snow on it, it didn't really work that well, but here it is.




Here I was just as unfortunate as two nails look bad. One got smudged from putting on Poshe and the one with the tree shrunk pretty bad. And on the photo a little smudge of dirt wanted to get in on it and jumped on my thumb nail. Gahh..

I ended up taking the polish off after 2 days since I got a pretty interesting package in the mail. Much about that in the next post. :)

The ABC's of me

Okay, so I was thinking that if some people wanted to know something about me, I could use this little fun thing from a blog I've been reading. Here is the link: Dream of Lacquer.

B - Bed size: Hmm, I don't know what it is called, but it is 200 x 140 cm. We call it a one and a half- person bed.

C - Chore you hate:  I absolutely hate doing dishes. An hour later there is always something dirty again.

D - Dog's name: I don't have a dog, but before I moved away from home, my dad got a dog. His name is Pepper.

E - Essential start your day item: My iPhone. When the alarm rings, I check the news first thing.

F - Favorite color: For my nails it has probably turned out to be a dark berry. But for everything else I love black.

G - Gold or Silver: Silver.

H - Height: 163 cm - 5'4".

I - Instruments you play: None. I am tone deaf :). If I had to start to learn an instrument, it would probably be a guitar or drums.

J - Job title: I'm still a student. In a couple of years I hope to get a job with school kids.

K - Kid(s): My niece and nephew. They'll do for now. :)

L - Living arrangements: Appartment with my boyfriend.

M - Mom’s name: Too personal. But how about my favourite Movie: The Departed or Fight Club.

N - Nicknames: None really. My boyfriend calls me honey.

O - Overnight hospital stay other than birth: Many. Had a brain haemorrhage at the age of 17, so practically lived in the hospital for 3 months, while I've also had several procedures done after that.

P - Pet Peeve: Spelling and the order of things. Some things just have to be right.

R - Right or left handed: Right handed.

Many people in the polish world have blogs, and since I like to look at those blogs, I have been thinking about starting one myself for a while.

So here it is. It is mostly just a way to keep track of my own nail designs and stuff, so we'll see where it takes me.
